“Don’t spend too much time planning, release early and often, some things will work, others won’t, refine and move forward and above all forget the money, just make sure you love what you’re doing.”

about me

Hi there! I’m Calvin Seng. A freelance multimedia designer based in Malaysia. I'm from Multimedia University. I produce creative and well thought out designs.

My designing style is heavily influenced by Minimalism. I love to create something out of nothing. I’m very passionate towards designs and typography. My specialties include Motion Graphics design and Visual Effects. Meanwhile, I’m working hard on mastering photography and creating good Motion Graphics and Visual Effects.

I’ve been working as a freelance designer since year 2008.
I’m looking forward to receive new freelance work and collaboration on projects.

about the website

This is the second version of my online portfolio.
Basically, it consists of all my designs and artworks I did before.

I made a major face-lift in this version of portfolio.
Not only that, I crafted my site with the finest XHTML and CSS I have to offer, while practising the Minimalist Design.

about minimalism

Minimalist design has been described as design at its most basic, stripped of superfluous elements, colors, shapes and textures.

Its purpose is to make the content stand out and be the focal point.

From a visual standpoint, minimalist design is meant to be calming and to bring the mind down to the basics.

The design movement began in Switzerland and was then applied to a variety of media: graphic design, architecture, music, literature, painting and, more recently, web design.

Although minimalist design took off decades ago, the early days of the Internet did not show it. Even without the rotating logos, marquees and bright colors, website designs were cluttered and overbearing.
